El Granjero Confirms Date to Undertake Remodel.
Grand Rapids, Michigan - It is with great excitement that a local restaurant announces remodeling project. El Granjero will be closed starting November 24th for two weeks to renovate the dining room area. The announcement was made during the EPIC Awards where El Granjero Mexican Grill was named 2016 Minority-Owned Business of the Year by the Grand Rapids Chamber of Commerce.
Earlier this year, owners partnered with also local architect, David Maxam, and CopperRock Construction to plan a remodeling project in the dining room. With the help of Leandra Williams of Stingray Advisory Group, business owners just recently secured the funds and are on schedule to move forward with the renovations this winter. “We celebrated 9 years of business this October; this project will be part of that milestone” said Paola R. Mendivil, Catering Coordinator for her family business. “We feel the vibrancy and growth Bridge Street businesses are experiencing. We’ve seen local stores remodeled, new businesses open recently, including the exciting new building for New Holland Brewery. We’ve been inspired by that revitalization and we want to be part of it” added Mendivil.
The renovations will give a modern look to the restaurant, the same amazing food will remain! “We wanted to do the renovations for our 10th anniversary” - says owner Mercedes Lopez-Duran, “but decided that we couldn’t wait another year for this exciting project.” The restaurant will be closed for two weeks while the construction company works tirelessly to achieve all tasks. The owners plan to give a soft opening before El Granjero re-opens for the public by the beginning of December. To keep up with the project, fans are encouraged to like El Granjero’s Facebook page to get updates and get the first look of the new dining room.
